DESCRIPTION:

Lullabye is a work belonging to the Gold and Sacrifice wing of our mansion, a series dedicated to the beauty that arises from offering, tension, and transcendence. In this piece, a woman in profile contemplates a monumental cradle covered in gold and ornamental symbols, here transformed into an altar, reliquary, and promise.

The scene does not represent literal motherhood, but motherhood elevated to a symbol: the female body appears as a territory of surrender, vulnerability, and silent power. The deep red of the background, the solemnity of the gold, and the deliberate absence of the newborn's face transform the work into an image of contemplation, ritual, and sacred intimacy.

Lullabye dialogues with decadent symbolism and golden ornamentation to construct a piece with strong emotional charge, where tenderness coexists with gravity, and beauty with the notion of sacrifice.
