Description:

The Lovers of the End belongs to the Canon and Stigma wing, where the body is presented as a territory of beauty, judgment, exposure, and contradiction.

The work shows a couple embracing on a beach as a gigantic wave rises behind them. The scene seems to announce an inevitable catastrophe, but their bodies do not respond with panic. They remain united, serene, almost ceremonial, enveloped in translucent fabrics reminiscent of classical drapery.

The visual language corresponds to a romantic apocalyptic neocanon. The couple appears treated as a living sculptural form: skin, fabric, posture, and desire are integrated into a composition of great symbolic power. Behind them, the sea becomes a judgment; above, the red moon transforms the landscape into a cosmic trial.

The piece does not seek to represent disaster as a spectacle. Its true center is the bond. The wave can sweep everything away, but it cannot interrupt the intimate gesture of two bodies that have decided to remain together.
