DESCRIPTION:

The Third Hunger belongs to the Wound and Ornament wing of the SANTOGrail maison, where the body, matter, desire, and visual intensity become the center of the aesthetic experience.

The work features a couple immersed in a red and voluptuous vision of excess. An adult woman reclines amidst a sea of strawberries, partially enveloped by a translucent silk that introduces elegance and restraint. Facing her emerges a man, in a frontal proximity that reinforces the symbolic intimacy of the composition. Around them, fruit overflows the space: not as an adornment, but as an emblem of gluttony, abundance, and appetite.

The piece takes the Third Circle, associated with gluttony, as its conceptual basis and translates it into a language of sensuality, matter, and desire. Fruit becomes symbolic flesh; the landscape becomes a body; excess becomes atmosphere.
