THE STOLEN PROMISE
Gallery: Gold and Sacrifice · Contemporary Allegorical Neobaroque · Limited Edition · Author: Adrian Thomas
When a promise is corrupted, desire ceases to save and begins to possess.
-
Description:
The Stolen Promise is an allegorical work with high symbolic voltage that explores the cycle of Fraud from desire, power, and loss. A scene of supplication, corrupted gold, and distant seduction transforms the broken promise into a museum piece. Ideal for collectors attracted to highly theatrical pieces, psychological eroticism, and moral weight.

SANTOGrail recommends this artwork for display formats up to 60 × 80 cm, with professional printing on fine art paper or artistic canvas.
As a curatorial criterion, we suggest:
- professional quality fine art paper or artistic canvas
- pigmented inks
- simple frames in matte black, natural wood or off-white
- LED lighting, no direct sunlight
- a presentation where the artwork can breathe visually
For artworks printed on paper, framing with acrylic or UV-protective glass and adequate separation between the artwork and the protective surface is suggested.
The final appreciation will depend on the medium, the lab, the lighting, and the exhibition space.
