DESCRIPTION:

Fetish is a diptych about the intimate relic: the garment as evidence, as an altar, as a physical memory of the other. There is no explicit scene; there is ritual. In the first work, desire manifests as sensory appropriation: the scent becomes an object. In the second, the gesture is different: more controlled, more ceremonial; the garment becomes selection and sentence.

Expressionism—dense brushwork, visible materiality, chromatic tension—allows the invisible to be painted: the smell, the obsession, the presence. Fetish belongs to the Wound and Ornament wing, where Santograil transforms the body into an emotional document and ornament into proof.
