DESCRIPTION:

The Heretics' Grail belongs to the Wound and Ornament wing of SANTOGrail, where the body, luxury, wound, and desire become visual matter.

The work presents a scene of intense symbolic charge: an imposing and ceremonial adult woman dominates the foreground, holding a steaming chalice. Beneath her, a reclining man seems devoted to a rite that belongs not to salvation, but to the heresy of the body. The space surrounding them combines altar, crypt, tomb, and a chamber of profane worship.

The piece conceptually references Dante's Sixth Circle, associated with heresy, but does not approach it literally. SANTOGrail transforms it into an image of deviated liturgy: dogma is broken, the body occupies the altar, and desire becomes doctrine.

As a curatorial criterion, we suggest:
